چکیده

Humanity is facing a set of existential challenges, including the handling parallel and interconnected crises climate change biodiversity loss. In an effort to address these international bodies like Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Science-Policy Platform Biodiversity Ecosystem Services (IPBES) have been created. These are producing series reports that compile scientific information specific aspects research discuss policy options other social implications. So far, provided in formats make it hard mobilize knowledge encapsulated them. Our contribution demonstrates technical workflows for achieving such mobilization by mining reports. Development spearheaded young researchers from SemanticClimate team interns based at National Institute Plant Genome Research (NIPGR) New Delhi, India, volunteers all over world. The tool chain includes methods cleaning up formatting, extracting processing raw text, tables figures annotating them semantically with help controlled vocabularies, ontologies Wikidata. semantic mined can then be combined way iteratively improves both, eventually resulting versions wherein entities species, countries or references marked rendered responsive formats. framework supports multilingual specialist interests (e.g., endangered plant chemistry), we will also briefly how use standard open licensing could further contribute mobilizing We keen work groups sharing as well teams involved

Dynamic Topic Modeling to Infer the Influence of Research Citations on IPCC Assessment Reports

A common Big Data problem is the need to integrate large temporal data sets from various data sources into one comprehensive structure. Having the ability to correlate evolving facts between data sources can be especially useful in supporting a number of desired application functions such as inference and influence identification. As a real world application we use climate change publications b...
